Train services resume following landslip repairs in Axminster and Lymington
Network Rail engineers worked throughout the weekend to repair two landslips in the south west of England.
FOUR WEEKS TO GO: Service changes planned in south west London during February for engineering works in the Kingston area
Passengers travelling in the Kingston area of south west London are being advised to plan ahead next month as essential Network Rail engineering work will mean changes to train services between Saturday 14 February and Tuesday 17 February.
UPDATE: Buses replace trains between Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier until further notice to continue landslip repairs
- Engineering work will repair a minor landslip in the Lymington area
- Repair work had been scheduled to begin tomorrow (17 January) but following heavy rain on Thursday, the embankment has shifted further meaning the Lymington Branch Line will be closed on 16 January as well.
- Passengers are advised to check before travelling and allow extra time to complete their journeys

Passengers travelling on the Portsmouth Direct Line are advised to plan ahead this February half-term (14-22 February) as Network Rail carries out a series of essential works to maintain and improve the railway.
