Customers asked to check before they travel if travelling by train this early May bank holiday as engineering work takes place to deliver a better railway across the south east
The vast majority of trains will run as normal but upgrade work will take place on some parts of the railway in Kent, Sussex and south London.

Network Rail and South Western Railway complete vital track improvements between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction
New switches and crossings, essential components which allow trains to change tracks, went into service for the first time at London Waterloo this morning (Tuesday 7 April).
Network Rail and South Western Railway carrying out £6 million upgrade for Berrylands station in south west London
Station to close from 11 May until end of September so that platforms can be replaced and safety enhancements carried out.
