Passengers travelling on the Portsmouth Direct Line are advised to plan ahead this February half-term (14-22 February) as Network Rail carries out a series of essential works to maintain and improve the railway.

A landslip in Surrey has left one of the tracks of the railway between Horsham and Dorking hanging in mid-air, with continued disruption expected for customers until the middle of February.

Engineers will carry out emergency works near Ockley from Monday 26 to at least Friday 30 January to stabilise the railway following a landslip.
To allow these repairs to take place safely, buses will replace trains between Dorking and Horsham throughout the week.
Passengers are advised to check before travelling and allow extra time for their journeys.
Critical level crossing renewal works will mean no road access to and from Isle of Grain village between midnight on Sunday 15th February and early morning on Monday 16th February
