Passengers are being advised to check before travelling later this month as more than 10,000 wires will be replaced in Gloucester signal box to provide better, more reliable services for rail passengers. 

Bristol Temple Meads station is celebrating its 185th birthday this week, during the year in which Britain’s railway marks two centuries since the very first passenger train journey. 

Network Rail has completed the significant refurbishments of two railway bridges in Somerset and Wiltshire, with local roads now reopened. 

A new and improved walkway has opened at Botley Road in Oxford this morning (Sunday 31^st August) as Network Rail hits another key milestone in the revised plan to reopen the road by the end of August next year.

Trains began running again between Worcester Shrub Hill and Moreton-in-Marsh on bank holiday Monday morning after Network Rail completed engineering work.

Thousands of excited revellers will pass through Reading and London Paddington stations this weekend on their way to Reading Festival, which takes place from Friday 22 August – Sunday 24 August, and Notting Hill Carnival, held in west London on Sunday 24 August and Monday 25 August.

Network Rail will complete essential engineering work on the Golden Valley line later this month that will impact passengers between Swindon and Gloucester.
