New research* commissioned by Network Rail to mark Global Recycling Day (Tuesday 18 March 2025) reveals that almost a fifth (19%) of people living in the south west don’t know fly-tipping is a crime you can be fined or prosecuted for.

Trains between Okehampton, Barnstaple and Exeter are running again after Network Rail successfully completed engineering work to protect and enhance the railway in Devon.

Work has begun to build Okehampton Interchange, a new railway station on the edge of the Devon town.

Network Rail is inviting residents to learn more about progress on its multi-million-pound programme to upgrade the railway and Oxford station in a series of public events in the city.

Train services between Taunton and Weston-super-Mare have returned to normal today following five days of engineering work to carry out essential structural repairs to a number of bridges.
