From next Friday (29 March) to Monday 1 April customers are being urged to check before they travel as buses replace trains across part of Network Rail’s Wessex route while Network Rail completes a range of essential upgrades to the railway as part of a wider £89m programme of investment across the country.

Network Rail has been awarded a gold level National Award for Environmental Excellence from environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful.

Network Rail is investing more than £20m in rebuilding a major railway bridge that takes trains over the M62 in Castleton, near Rochdale.

Emergency work to repair a landslip will result in a reduced train service and buses replacing some trains this Sunday between Basingstoke and Woking, and between Woking and Aldershot.
