As Birmingham’s famous Christmas market opens for another year, the region’s railway is ready to help get passengers safely to and from festivities and celebrations.  

The first phase of a major accessibility upgrade for passengers in North Yorkshire is completed.

A special pop-up charity shop supporting children and their families this winter has celebrated its third year at Birmingham New Street station.

Passengers who travel between Birmingham Snow Hill and Stourbridge Junction are being warned of five days of journey changes which start this weekend.

A key milestone for “Connection Stage One” of the East West Rail project has been reached today (Monday 21 October) after a test train successfully completed its first run between Oxford and Milton Keynes.

Passengers across the North West are being urged to check their journeys this weekend and tie down any loose items in their gardens ahead of a named storm which is expected to arrive in in the early hours of Sunday.  

Trains between Chester and Hooton are unable to run after a drainage pump was sabotaged in Ledsham, Ellesmere Port.
