East Sussex passengers advised to plan ahead this November as railway closes for four days
Network Rail is today advising passengers in part of East Sussex to plan ahead as work to complete a major upgrade of the line between Lewes and Seaford means buses1 will replace trains on various routes via Lewes. This is for four days, Thursday 28 November - Sunday 1 December 2019.

Safety gates installed across South East to reduce trespass on the railway
Over 15,000 metres of new fencing and gates have been installed at nearly 300 stations across Kent, Sussex and south London as part of a £2.3 million project to stop people trespassing on the railway.
South East stations see biggest increase nationwide in passenger satisfaction
- Overall satisfaction at the route’s four managed stations – London Bridge, Victoria, Charing Cross and Cannon Street – is 85.5%
- Punctuality satisfaction increases 11% year-on-year according to passenger watchdog Transport Focus
