Network Rail have taken over Guildford and Clapham Junction stations to support ongoing delivery of the Railway Upgrade Plan.

The railway line through Wandsworth re-opened this morning following Network Rail’s successful replacement of Fairfield Bridge as part of a bumper £118 million nationwide Easter investment in Britain’s rail infrastructure.

• All lines between Clapham Junction and Barnes will be closed from Good Friday (March 30) to the Bank Holiday Monday (April 2).
• No trains will serve Barnes on Sunday 1 April. Replacement bus services will be in operation.
• Services between London Waterloo, Windsor and Reading will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham from 30 March – 2 April.
• Other service alterations in place - passengers are advised to check before travelling over the Easter weekend.

A woman who lost her leg when she was struck by a train at a Hampshire level crossing has backed Network Rail’s plans to replace it with a ramped footbridge.

Network Rail is advising passengers across south west London to check their journeys before travelling this Easter as work takes place as part of a nationwide £118 million investment over the bank holiday weekend.

Passengers are able to travel by rail between Portsmouth Harbour and Portsmouth & Southsea station again from this morning (Saturday 17^th February) after Network Rail successfully replaced a 142-year-old railway bridge with a new 88-tonne British steel structure.

Residents living in the Compton area near Guildford have been invited to a drop-in information event to find out more about Network Rail’s £2 million investment to replace the life expired Compton road bridge, set to begin in April.
