A new, fully accessible station is set to open in Morley, Leeds in summer 2023 to make way for longer trains, more seats, and better journeys as part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade.

Bridlington station is now a hive of activity as a multi-million-pound overhaul to offer a better experience for passengers and make the station more accessible gets underway.

Barrow Haven’s brand-new £1.3m platform has now been completed, with the North Lincolnshire station now fully re-open to passengers. 

A long-forgotten railway siding, dating back to the 19^th Century has been discovered in Huddersfield, as the Transpennine Route Upgrade gains traction.

A brand-new footbridge and signalling system are now in place at Castleford station to bring better journeys for passengers as part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade.

• No trains will run between Yorkshire and the capital this Saturday (5 Nov) in the seventh round of industrial action
• National rail strikes planned for 5, 7 and 9 November will also significantly reduce train services across Yorkshire
• Passengers should only travel if necessary, plan ahead and know their last train times

Leeds station is supporting the Royal British Legion’s City Poppy Day tomorrow (Tuesday 1 November) by hosting a team of volunteer fundraisers, as well as a live performance from the British Army Band Catterick.

Communities across West Yorkshire are being invited to share their views on proposals for major rail upgrades, which are set to transform the region over the coming years.
