Lifesaving defibrillators have now been installed at six railway stations in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. 

A popular footpath which runs between Hessle and North Ferriby has reopened following the completion of major work to protect a nearby railway embankment from coastal erosion.

Network Rail is upgrading sections of track on the Esk Valley line, which date back to the 1940’s, to bring smoother journeys for passengers travelling between Middlesbrough and Whitby.
