• Three-day closure at London King’s Cross from Friday 26 until Sunday 28 February (inclusive) paves way for main stage of £1.2billion East Coast Main Line upgrade starting next week
• No Thameslink or Great Northern services south of Potters Bar, New Barnet and Gordon Hill this Friday with further changes over the weekend
• Further work will take place between March and June to improve the track layout at King’s Cross and reopen a disused railway tunnel – making it easier for trains to enter and exit the station
• The work is part of the East Coast Upgrade, which will transform journeys between London, Cambridgeshire, the North of England and Scotland

Heavy snow in North Yorkshire didn’t stop Network Rail teams upgrading the track on the Esk Valley line, which dates back to the mid-1940’s.

Network Rail is carrying out essential work to remove trees and plants close to the railway in Market Harborough, whilst working to protect the environment and increase the amount of biodiversity in the area, ahead of improvements to electrify the line.

Network Rail has reopened Narborough station footbridge, after completing major work to revamp, revitalise and future proof the historic structure.
