Network Rail will be working at two sites in Lincolnshire to renew track and level crossing infrastructure to improve reliability for passenger’s journeys.

Network Rail and East Midlands Railway are reminding passengers taking journeys on the Midland Main Line this weekend to check before travelling as there are changes to services.

Passengers travelling along the Midland Main Line between London St Pancras and the north are being urged to check before they travel as engineering work between Leicester and Kettering will impact on journeys on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 August.

Construction of a temporary bridge in Kibworth has begun whilst essential work to adapt the existing bridge takes place, paving the way for a fully electrified railway between Kettering and Wigston. 

Colleagues from Network Rail and other industry partners cycled from London St. Pancras to Sheffield in just three days to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Work continues this month on the biggest programme of improvements to the Midland Main Line since its completion over 150 years ago.

Network Rail have teamed up with the Leicestershire Craft Centre, as well as other community groups, to create and paint an art mural to prevent vandalism and trespass in South Wigston, near Leicester.  

Road users in West Langton, Leicestershire are being advised to plan ahead over the week of Monday 19 June until Friday 23 June.
