Safety improvements made at six footpath level crossings across Suffolk and Essex
Six footpath level crossings across Suffolk and Essex have been made safer following improvements carried out by Network Rail as part of its Railway Upgrade Plan.
London Overground Gospel Oak to Barking route to reopen on Monday 27 February but further work is required
The London Overground line between Gospel Oak and Barking will reopen to passengers on Monday 27 February, following a phased eight-month closure to electrify the route. However the installation of all of the overhead wires has not been completed on time and more work is required.
New warning system to improve safety at footpath level crossings across Anglia
Three footpath level crossings in Suffolk and Essex are now safer thanks to a new audible warning system, alerting pedestrians of approaching trains. The crossings are the first of a total of 23 that will have the new kit installed, making the railway safer and more reliable as part of Network Rail's Railway Upgrade Plan.

Lowestoft train travel advice due to flood warnings
Joint statement from Greater Anglia and Network Rail. Train passengers heading to and from Lowestoft will not be able to travel after approximately 8pm this evening (13 January 2017). Lowestoft train station and the lines which run into and out of the station are closing early as a severe flood warning has been issued by the Environment Agency.
