New Route Director Joins Network Rail Anglia
Ellie Burrows has joined Network Rail this week as route director for Anglia. The Anglia route is one of four new routes that make up Network Rail’s Eastern region and covers Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and parts of Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Greater London. The move to routes and regions is part of Network Rail’s nationwide programme “Putting Passengers First” launched in June 2019.
Wherry line community events keep public informed of level crossing changes
Network Rail is holding drop-in events this month to keep local communities informed of the changes being made to level crossings on the Norwich, Yarmouth and Lowestoft lines ahead of the re-signalling works planned for February.

Stonea underpass closed for up to a year following bridge strike
The underpass at Stonea on the Ely-Peterborough railway line between March and Manea will remain temporarily closed for safety reasons until late 2020 to allow for crucial repair works
