Network Rail’s second round of public consultation to increase rail capacity through Ely opens today (Monday 24 May 2021) as part of a six-week consultation to gather feedback from the public on proposals being presented to upgrade the railway.

Network Rail staff were called out to Queen Adelaide village in Ely on Wednesday 7 April at 9:45am after reports of sheep making a wrong turning at the level crossing and taking a short-cut down the Ely to Peterborough rail line.
