Passengers travelling to Stansted and between London and Cambridge are advised to check before they travel this May Bank Holiday as Network Rail carries out essential track works in the Bishops Stortford area.

Network Rail's planned upgrade of the electrical and mechanical systems of three swing bridges at Reedham, Somerleyton and Oulton Broad will improve reliability for passengers and reduce disruption for boat users.

Network Rail continued work on upgrading the overhead wiring system on the line between London and Shoeburyness over the four-day Easter period, improving reliability for thousands of passengers.

Network Rail completed track works over the Easter period which will make journeys to Stansted and between London and Cambridge more reliable.

Network Rail staff and volunteers from the railway family and local community planted trees near Haddiscoe station last Friday (15 April 2022) to boost wildlife and the local environment.

Families from Anglia who are planning a trip to London over the Easter break are being invited to come along and enjoy the fun and engage with rail safety with Thomas and the gang at London stations.

Passengers travelling on the c2c Line between London and Shoeburyness are urged to check before they travel as Network Rail continues it’s work to upgrade the overhead wiring system. Residents are also being reminded that the level crossing at East Tilbury station will also be closed for short periods throughout the work.
