Network Rail will shortly begin work to repair and strengthen the two railway bridges over Ayr Road, Mauchline as part of Network Rail’s UK wide railway upgrade plan.

Electrification on the Great Western mainline has moved a step closer after Network Rail successfully upgraded the railway in Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett over the weekend as part of their Railway Upgrade Plan.

A level crossing in Tottenham will be closed next month and replaced with an accessible footbridge as part of works to significantly upgrade the railway network in the area. Residents can find out more about the plans at information events starting next week (19 June).

Railway bridges have joined many other buildings and structures to become works of art in Brockley, south east London, thanks to a partnership between the organisers of a street art festival and Network Rail.

Network Rail engineers will shortly start work to improve accessibility at Westerton Station.
