Rail passengers in the Sutton to Wimbledon and Mitcham corridor can look forward to better, more reliable journeys as a £45m railway upgrade gets under way.

Jamie Morgan, a mobile operations manager for Network Rail, will appear in a new documentary which goes behind the scenes of the rail industry.

Network Rail has released shocking footage of deliberate misuse of a level crossing in Bedfordshire despite the crossing being the scene of a fatal collision in January. 

Network Rail will begin work to renovate Station Street footbridge in Long Eaton as part of the Railway Upgrade Plan.
