A £10m programme of repair work to the Blackheath tunnel by Network Rail means that train services will be diverted via Greenwich.

Train services have resumed between Yeovil Pen Mill and Castle Cary after a week-long closure where Network Rail carried out essential improvements to the railway.

Trains between Okehampton, Barnstaple and Exeter are running again after Network Rail successfully completed engineering work to protect and enhance the railway in Devon.

TRU are encouraging customers to check before they travel as engineers complete a series of upgrades across eight consecutive weekends, starting on Saturday 29 March, between Mossley and Dewsbury. 

Wales take on England in the second of their two home Six Nations matches for 2025 tomorrow – which means tens of thousands of rugby supporters will be passing through Cardiff Central station before and after the match.

While much of the rail network will be open this Easter, engineers will be working in key locations to maintain, renew and improve the railway infrastructure to keep services running safety and reliably.
