Network Rail has taken the next step towards building a footbridge at Little Bowden by formally submitted a planning application to Harborough District Council.

With the summer holidays about to start, Network Rail visited a Worcestershire school to advise children of the need to always use level crossings correctly and the dangers of trespassing on the railway.

This week marks one month until passengers from South London and Sussex will be able to enjoy the first part of London Bridge’s massive new concourse for the first time.

Passengers travelling into London from Kent and south east London will be able to use the first two-thirds of the new station concourse at London Bridge from the end of August, as a major milestone is reached in the station’s redevelopment.

Alarming new figures from Network Rail reveal that children are twice as likely to trespass on the tracks over the summer months, compared with winter¹.

• Line closed between Leamington Spa, Banbury and Bicester North between Saturday 30 July and Sunday 7 August
• A replacement bus service will operate between Leamington Spa, Banbury and Bicester
• Investment to help improve reliability and punctuality of trains through the Banbury area
• Journeys through the Oxford area also affected by upgrade work at Hinksey between Saturday 30 July and Sunday 14 August
