Passengers who require step-free access at Derby railway station will need to use the site’s subway next month while major work is carried out on the lifts.

Network Rail has issued a warning about the dangers of overhead electric wires after kite flyers in Buckinghamshire risked their lives and caused delays for passengers because they were flying too close to the railway.

Network Rail has awarded the contract to build Soham’s new railway station to J Murphy and Sons Ltd.

Major repair and refurbishment work has been completed at Hurst Green station to upgrade and improve the platforms for passengers.
