Passengers in Reading are being asked to prepare themselves for 10 days of changes to train services as their new station arrives this Easter.

Work is due to start next month on a £20m project to replace the wooden Pont Briwet viaduct near Porthmadog in North Wales with a new bridge.

Network Rail has agreed to refurbish the footbridge at Burry Port Station following talks with the local community.

Network Rail is close to completing work on a £48m project to replace the Loughor Viaduct near Swansea and redouble a 5.25-mile stretch of line running through Gowerton.

Network Rail has vowed to keep disruption to passengers to a minimum as it carries out vital improvement work on the Tarka line between Exeter and Barnstaple during March.

To help deliver improvement works at Reading station the section of the passenger bridge which links the station to the multi-storey car park will close for good on Friday March 1st as the newly refurbished subway opens on the same day.

Worcester Foregate Street rail bridge will officially be reopened at 11am on Friday 22 February by Network Rail and contractors J. Murphy & Sons Limited.
