As part of Glasgow Queen Street station’s redevelopment, work will begin next week on a project to prepare for the extension of platform 1.

Work is set to resume at Glasgow Road, Carmuirs to replace the railway bridge over the A803 between Camelon and Bonnybridge.  The project, originally scheduled for autumn last year was postponed as the team could not get sufficient ‘access time’ to the railway line to complete the job

Network Rail has completed work to raise the height of walls bordering the railway at Royal Terrace and Union Road, Linlithgow, as part of the Edinburgh Glasgow Improvement Programme (EGIP).
