Transport Minister Humza Yousaf visited the Millerhill depot recently to see the ongoing work to provide stabling facilities for the new fleet of class 385 electric trains which will be introduced across many Scottish  routes over the next two years.

Transport Minister Humza Yousaf officially opened the new £41m Edinburgh Gateway train-tram interchange today (Friday, December 9).

Biggar Road, Cleland has re-opened to traffic following completion of Network Rail’s work to upgrade the bridge over the railway in preparation for the electrification of the Shotts line which runs through the village.

The A71 will close for 16 weeks from January 5 next year while Network Rail engineers demolish and replace the road bridge next to West Calder station.

A new taxi rank making use of land within New Street car park has been confirmed for Edinburgh Waverley. The announcement comes in advance of the next phase of station improvement work due to begin in 2017.

Network Rail successfully completed the first part of the demolition of the bridge over the railway at Station Road, Shotts over the weekend.

Network Rail will include designs for a ramped footbridge within its proposal to close Cornton level crossing when it submits a planning application to Stirling Council next month.
