North East Lincolnshire Council’s Cabinet have approved plans for a new accessible footbridge over the railway at Suggitt’s Lane in Cleethorpes.

• Work is taking place over nine days to reduce future disruption and bring a more modern, reliable railway for passengers as soon as possible

Network Rail is asking people in South Milford to give their feedback on proposals to fully close a footpath level crossing to the east of the village.

Network Rail has replaced a railway bridge in Crofton, which was built over 140 years ago, in a £3.7million upgrade project.

Heavy snow in North Yorkshire didn’t stop Network Rail teams upgrading the track on the Esk Valley line, which dates back to the mid-1940’s.
