Network Rail has teamed up with East Midlands Railway (EMR) to mark International Level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD) 2025 with a campaign promoting safer behaviour among pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.

All roads have reopened on a new bridge deck installed over the railway in north London – marking one of the £30 million project’s final milestones.

Harlington station is set to go through a significant transformation as work begins to replace its ageing footbridge with a modern structure designed to last for 120 years.

Important planned engineering work taking place this weekend (10 and 11 May) will mean buses will replace trains between Bedford/Luton and London St Pancras and between Leicester and Peterborough.
