Much of the railway will be open over Easter for passengers to travel across the region and the country. There are some engineering works taking place and passengers are advised to check before they travel.

Passengers are being encouraged to check before travelling as planned weekend engineering work in March will affect services between Norwich and Ipswich, and between Ipswich and Cambridge/Ely.

A project by Network Rail to replace a 100-year-old bridge on Kingsbury Road in Dalston is reaching an important milestone this coming weekend.

During four consecutive weekends in February, engineers will be working to maintain our infrastructure between Stratford, Shenfield, Billericay and Southend Victoria as well as weekend work at the site of the new Beaulieu Park station.

We’re thanking all our customers and passengers for their understanding and patience over the festive period while our engineers completed an extensive set of railway engineering work across the Anglia region to benefit passenger and freight services.

Network Rail has entered into an agreement with Cambridgeshire County Council to restore habitats disrupted during the construction of the new station in Hobsons Park and deliver the targeted local biodiversity net gain of 10%.

Passengers wishing to travel by rail this Christmas are reminded to check before travelling as extensive Christmas engineering work will help to deliver significant benefits for passengers and continue with exciting new station builds.
