Passengers are reminded to check before travelling for journeys between Norwich and Lowestoft as week long track renewal works to improve reliability of services begin later this week.  

Vital track replacement work at Clapton that will increase reliability for passengers, has been completed at the weekend.

Passengers are advised to check how their journey might be affected when vital rail upgrades take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend to improve reliability of services. 

Rail services and road traffic are currently disrupted after a lorry collided with the level crossing barriers at Manningtree, taking them completely off.

Vital track replacement work at Clapton that will increase reliability for passengers is on track to finish on the 2 August.

Network Rail is warning level crossing users to use crossings safely after a family of four were found taking photographs on the tracks at a level crossing in Hutton between Shenfield and Billericay on the Southend Victoria branch line.

The top ten most bashed and at-risk railway bridges across Anglia and East London will be fitted with a new CCTV system to reduce delays and cancellations to rail services as part of a £190k investment programme.

Track upgrades and bridge strengthening work will be carried out by Network Rail on the Gospel Oak to Barking London Overground Line to keep services running smoothly and reliably for passengers.
