Network Rail is reminding residents in East Yorkshire that a section of the Hessle Foreshore footpath will temporarily close next month as work starts on an £8million project to protect the railway embankment.

Network Rail has completed the installation of a temporary bridge over the railway on the A814 Dumbarton Road in Old Kilpatrick.

Kent passengers are seeing the benefits today as Network Rail handed the railway back on time following a 9-day closure for vital engineering work to protect passengers from disruption caused by landslips.

Passengers are being thanked for their patience after nine days of upgrade work to make the railway in East Lancashire more reliable and improve future journeys.
