A campaign to support passengers’ wellbeing is arriving in Edinburgh’s Waverley station next week.

• New hourly service introduced on the Dartmoor line, doubling the current service in boost for local economy.
• Passenger numbers have exceeded expectations, with 50,000 journeys being made in the first 20 weeks since the restored line reopened

Scotland’s Railway’s new purpose-built engineering depot at Cadder was visited by Minister for Transport, Jenny Gilruth MSP and Amy Callaghan MP today (Thursday 12 May). 

Engineers will be shoring up a vulnerable stretch of railway between Eastleigh and Fareham between Saturday 25 June to Sunday 4 July, along with a package of 42 other jobs to improve passengers’ journeys on the route.

Cramlington station's revamped footbridge is now open for passengers after Network Rail completed a major £590,000 refurbishment.

The Town Gateway/Colonnade underpass in Dawlish is due to temporarily close next month as Network Rail begins a key stage of its construction on the second section of the new, bigger sea wall that is being built to protect the coastal railway and town from storms and rising sea levels.
