Scotland’s Railway will be working hard to run as many trains as possible for customers during two 48-hour RMT strikes on January 3/4 and January 6/7.

• Rail union strikes between 3-7 January mean very limited trains for passengers
• Liverpool Lime Street will see two trains leave per hour during RMT strikes on 3-4 and 6-7
• Services will start much later from 7.30am with last departures by 5pm
• Hardly any trains will run at all during an ASLEF train drivers' strike on Thursday 5 January
• On all days passengers should only travel if absolutely necessary

Network Rail is reminding passengers of severe disruption to train services next week as the rail industry gears up for five consecutive days of strikes by the RMT and ASLEF trades unions, starting next Tuesday 3 January 2023.

The Oban line will fully reopen for passengers on Tuesday (December 27) following work to repair landslip-damaged tracks near Falls of Cruachan on Loch Awe.
