Network Rail refreshed and expanded the data available on its website’s transparency portal today: www.networkrail.co.uk/transparency

Engineers have this week started to remove spoil from the rail line damaged by a spoil heap slip at Hatfield colliery in February. Extensive, careful removal of material from the rest of the spoil heap means that it is now stable enough for engineers to work safely on the spoil which is on the rail bed.

Leeds is one of five of the country’s biggest and busiest railway stations whcih will become art galleries this summer, hosting a special exhibition showcasing stunning images from the Take-a-view Landscape Photographer of the Year competition.
