Rail services to resume through Hatfield & Stainforth
Rail passengers will be able to get a train through Hatfield & Stainforth from 8 July 2013. Services will be reintroduced following a complex and intricate programme to stabilise and reinstate the railway following a spoil heap slip in February. The passenger timetable will fully re-introduced by 29 July.

Landscape Photographer of the Year exhibition comes to Yorkshire
Leeds Station is set to become an art gallery next week as part of the special exhibition showcasing stunning images from the Take-a-view Landscape Photographer of the Year competition comes to Yorkshire. Five of the countries biggest and busiest stations will be showcasing a series of previously commended entries from across the country over the summer. Visitors will also have the opportunity to get expert advice from celebrated landscape photographer and founder of the competition, Charlie Waite.
Network Rail responds to ORR draft determination
Responding to the Office of Rail Regulation’s draft determination for control period 5 (2014-19), a Network Rail spokesperson said: “We welcome today's draft determination from the Office of Rail Regulation setting out their proposals for the funding and investment the railway will need for the five years to 2019.

Network Rail improves habitats for slow worms at Beeston Sidings Nature Reserve
Network Rail has been helping to improve habitats for slow worms in Beeston as part of a project to upgrade the railway in and around Nottingham. Working in conjunction with Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust at Beeston Sidings Nature Reserve, which neighbours the track, staff from Network Rail and the project team have volunteered to improve the habitat for slow worms on the site.
