The new Wantage Road bridge (A338) has officially opened to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists as part of the project to electrify the Great Western Mainline.

Network Rail and East Midlands Trains are inviting passengers and residents to find out more about the next phase of work to build a second track on the Kettering to Corby route.

Repairs to a 500,000-tonne landslip in Cumbria will see the iconic Settle to Carlisle railway line fully reopen to trains by the end of March 2017, Network Rail announced today (7 July).

Residents are invited to an event to discuss Network Rail’s proposals for the barrow crossing at Halesworth station.

Network Rail will begin work to extend the platforms at Chertsey station on Sunday, 10 July, allowing longer trains to call at the station as part of the organisation’s Railway Upgrade Plan.
