‘Travel either side’ May bank holiday between London and Scotland
- West Coast main line passengers urged to travel either side of the May bank holiday (Friday 30 April and Tuesday 4 May)
- Major work to improve future journeys for passengers and freight is taking place Saturday 1 May to Monday 3 May
- On those days trains and stations will be busier with some rail replacement buses running
- People should follow Government guidance and minimise the number of journeys they make where possible

- London Euston railway station will be closed between 1-3 May - trains will start and finish at Milton Keynes

Inverness line to reopen for passengers and freight services
RAIL services between Perth and Inverness will be reinstated from tomorrow morning (Thursday). The railway line has been closed near Dalwhinnie since Saturday following the derailment of two rear vehicles on an overnight rail operations test train.

Sheep put themselves in shear danger taking a short-cut on busy Cambridgeshire rail line
Network Rail staff were called out to Queen Adelaide village in Ely on Wednesday 7 April at 9:45am after reports of sheep making a wrong turning at the level crossing and taking a short-cut down the Ely to Peterborough rail line.
