LNER and Network Rail work together to run special Lincoln Christmas Market services
London North Eastern Railway (LNER) and Network Rail have worked together to enable a special weekend timetable with larger trains during the Lincoln Christmas Market, with direct services from locations including Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness.

Network Rail prepares for Christmas track upgrades at Leeds station
- Engineers will remodel the track layout between platforms 4 and 6 over Christmas as part of a project to boost reliability and reduce the impact of future unplanned disruption
- Network Rail completed latest stage of improvements over the weekend (Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 October)
- Changes to services for eight days over Christmas period from Monday 27 December to Monday 3 January 2022 – passengers are encouraged to plan ahead
- Additional changes for passengers between Leeds and Huddersfield on Sunday 7 November as essential signalling upgrades take place
