Passengers travelling between Salisbury and Yeovil are being reminded to check before they travel ahead of a nine-day railway closure to replace track near Tisbury, Wiltshire

Network Rail has completed work to renew fencing at the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre in Grangemouth.

Very limited Liverpool Lime Street trains during December strikes

- Only absolutely necessary rail travel is advised during strike action on 13, 14, 16 and 17 December
- Trains will be on a significantly reduced timetable, will start later from 7:30am and finish by 6.30pm
- During those times only two trains trains per hour will depart Liverpool Lime Street station
- With no trains leaving after 5pm people should plan alternative ways to get home
- Liverpool Lime Street station will close its doors by 7pm
- Nationally 20% of services will run on just 50% of the network – most branch lines will have no trains at all

Scotland’s Railway facing significant strike disruption next week

- Industry working hard to run as many trains as possible for customers during two 48-hour RMT strikes on December 13/14 and 16/17.
- Strike action will also cause significant disruption to routes across the country on December 15.
- Scotland’s Railway will remain open when RMT members at train companies in England and Wales begin action short of a strike from December 18.
