Passengers reminded to check before they travel as railway upgrade in the north continues
Passengers are being reminded that work to provide a better railway across the north of England will mean changes to train services this Christmas.
Access for all at Whitton following £5 million upgrade
Passengers using Whitton station will now benefit from £5 million worth of upgrades at their station, after Network Rail’s route managing director, Becky Lumlock, officially marked the completion of the final phase of the upgrade – a new, fully-accessible footbridge – alongside MP for Twickenham, Dr Tania Mathias, and representatives from Richmond Borough Council, the Rugby Football Union and South West Trains.
