Train services into London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport are returning to normal following a gas leak near to Brimsdown station in Enfield.

Passengers to the south and west of London are reminded to check before they travel this August bank holiday as they are set to benefit from a wide range of improvements to the line out of Waterloo as part of Network Rail’s Railway Upgrade Plan.

The planned closure of the barrow crossing at Halesworth station in Suffolk has been postponed by Network Rail, hoping that an interim solution will change unsafe behaviour at the crossing.

Over 40 volunteers from the Thameslink Programme, part of Network Rail, joined local community partners to transform disused space into a space for young people to socialise and undertake activities that will increase their skills and confidence.

Passengers traveling from Norwich to London Liverpool Street will benefit from increased reliability and fewer delays, following the replacement of an old railway bridge, which carries the main line to London over Long John Hill in Norwich.
