Network Rail is inviting residents in Chorley to an information event to find out more about upcoming work to manage vegetation near the railway to keep rail passengers and staff safe.

Network Rail has thanked neighbours and passengers for their patience and understanding after work to replace a subway and alter track at Chorley station was carried out over the bank holiday weekend.

Network Rail is to rebuild a railway bridge in Chester which will require less future maintenance, helping to provide passengers with a more reliable service through the area.
