Network Rail has now selected a smaller legal panel to help the company develop closer, more mutually beneficial and strategic relationships with its key legal suppliers.

The rail industry is seeking 50 more graduates to join its unique 18-month paid work placement scheme, Track & Train. Graduates are employed for three, six-month placements: one at Network Rail and two at either a passenger or freight operator or another company within the rail sector to gain a broad range of experience.

Network Rail is inviting young people and their families from across the West of England and Thames Valley area to its state-of-the-art maintenance training centre in Bristol to experience life as a railway apprentice and meet the people and high-tech kit involved in keeping Britain’s rail network running.

Network Rail has announced that four of its executive directors have been awarded a portion of their Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) payment, reflecting the performance of the company in the period 2009-12. The payment has been reduced to take account of some safety and train performance issues.

The search is on to find the best photography of the British landscape and that of the rail network. Entries are now open for the Take a view - Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards 2013, which celebrates imagery of the best sights the country has to offer.

Punctuality on the railways reached 91.4% during Period 13, according to monthly performance data released today by Network Rail.
