Network Rail is advising anyone that is intending to use the train between 29 May and 1 June to please check before you travel as they carry out rail improvement projects across Kent and South East London.

Work at Chatham station in Kent has started to provide step-free platform access making the station much easier to use for passengers with mobility issues, older people and parents with young children. The new tactile surface will also improve the station experience for visually impaired passengers.

A footpath crossing of the main London-Tonbridge railway in countryside near Hildenborough is being closed by Network Rail today (Thursday) as an emergency, after a survey of the crossing revealed much higher usage than expected.
