Leeds United football fans travelling by train to Wembley for the Championship play-off final are being given a hat-trick of travel tips for a winning journey.

Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) is reminding passengers and road users to plan their journey ahead of time, as major improvement works are carried out between Leeds and York from Sunday 26 May to Monday 3 June.

Speed restrictions will be in place today (22 May) along Network Rail’s North and East route to keep passengers safe and services running smoothly following heavy rainfall.
