Network Rail is inviting passengers and residents in Leeds to an upcoming public information event to find out more about the work taking place to construct a new platform.

Network Rail has announced when the next stage of public consultation on proposals to upgrade the railway between Huddersfield and Westtown (Dewsbury) will take place.

Passengers using Leeds railway station have helped to prevent over 1000 single-use plastic bottles* from being used through utilising a water refill point which was installed last month.

Network Rail will start work next month to improve Tutbury level crossing in Derbyshire, which will make sure it can continue to be used reliably for years to come.

Network Rail is reminding residents in East Yorkshire that a section of the Hessle Foreshore footpath will temporarily close next month as work starts on an £8million project to protect the railway embankment.

Network Rail will begin work to improve three level crossings in Staffordshire this week, which will make sure they can continue to be used reliably for years to come.
