Network Rail is urging parents to warn their children about the dangers of trespassing on the railway as shocking CCTV footage shows three teenagers risking their lives by accessing the tracks via a level crossing near Leeds.

Network Rail marked the opening of a £14million depot in Doncaster yesterday (Tuesday, 7 July) which will bring highly skilled teams across the borough together. It will also help to boost the economy in the town which is famous for its railway history.

Multi-million-pound improvements that will change the face of Newcastle’s historic Central Station have taken a major step forward.

• No trains in or out of London King’s Cross on Saturday, 20 and Sunday, 21 June so new overhead line equipment can be installed.
• Project is part of £1.2billion upgrade which will deliver more trains, thousands of extra seats and more reliable journeys between London, the north, and Scotland.
• Under current COVID-19 guidance, journeys should only be made if they are necessary, and those needing to travel should avoid using public transport wherever possible. It is now mandatory to wear a face covering when using public transport.

• No trains in or out of London King’s Cross or Moorgate, or from the East Coast Main Line into St Pancras International, on Saturday, 20 and Sunday, 21 June so new overhead line equipment can be installed.

• Project is part of £1.2billion upgrade which will enable more reliable journeys between London, Peterborough and Cambridge.

• Under current COVID-19 guidance, journeys should only be made if they are necessary, and those needing to travel should avoid using public transport wherever possible. It is now mandatory to wear a face covering when using public transport.

• No trains in or out of London King’s Cross, and no Thameslink services will run via Finsbury Park, on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June 2020 so new overhead line equipment can be installed.

A £1million Network Rail project to upgrade the footbridge at Welwyn Garden City station will now reopen in June and complete in the Summer, after additional defects were identified and severe weather and social distancing measures impacted on progress.
