Network Rail has completed key work to make Chester-le-Street station more accessible, improving safety and allowing more people to travel independently.

A historic railway bridge in Darlington is set to be revitalised this month in a £16,000 revamp.

Network Rail is carrying out work to upgrade a level crossing in Conningham this month to improve reliability and make sure it remains fit for purpose for years to come.

The first stage of work to improve the gateway to and from York’s famous railway station is now taking place on Queen Street.

Network Rail will begin major work to repair and strengthen Wellington Street railway bridge on Monday 24 January, in a project which will make sure it remains fit for purpose for years to come.
