On Thursday 29 February, Network Rail hosted a morning myth-buster event ahead of International Women’s Day at a York school to inspire and inform students of the wide range of opportunities for women in the rail industry.

Network Rail engineers will be carrying out major upgrades to the East Coast Main Line between York and Newcastle in March, resulting in some changes to train services.

W2H is Britain’s first instance of infrastructure commissioning towards a ‘no signals’ intercity mainline.
