People across Cambridgeshire are being invited to a second round of consultation events next month in March, Cambridge and Littleport to see Network Rail’s updated proposals to close or change the use of 33 level crossings across the county by altering the public Rights of Way network.

Train services into London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport are returning to normal following a gas leak near to Brimsdown station in Enfield.

The planned closure of the barrow crossing at Halesworth station in Suffolk has been postponed by Network Rail, hoping that an interim solution will change unsafe behaviour at the crossing.

Passengers travelling from Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex to London Liverpool Street will benefit from fewer delays and more reliable journeys from September, following installation of a new railway bridge in Norwich and new track at Mile End during the August bank holiday weekend.
