£48m railway investment comes to East Nottinghamshire
A £48million investment in East Nottinghamshire’s railway continues this weekend as signalling upgrades near completion.

New drainage system makes Settle-Carlisle railway line safer and more reliable for years to come
Network Rail has installed a new drainage system on the Settle to Carlisle railway line in rural Cumbria which will ensure that the line is safer and more reliable for passengers for years to come.

£100m railway upgrade means 12 day closure of the line at Bromsgrove
- Work will allow line between Bromsgrove and Birmingham to be electrified
- Upgraded signalling will help make services to and from the town more reliable
- To allow the work to be completed the line will be closed for 12 days
- Buses will replace trains serving Bromsgrove station
- Trains between Birmingham, Hereford, south Wales and the South West will be subject to an amended timetable
