Network Rail will begin work to renovate Station Street footbridge in Long Eaton as part of the Railway Upgrade Plan.

While Liverpool Lime Street was closed for emergency repairs, engineers seized the chance to bring forward a series of railway improvements, Network Rail revealed today (9 March).

Continued work on the Ordsall Chord will mean some changes to services in 2017 with the benefits being felt towards the end of the year.

School children in Torfaen are learning about the dangers of the railway through interactive sessions hosted in association with Network Rail this week.
